Montepulciano is synonymous for its vino Nobile which is why it’s know as the king of wines. It was the first wine in Italy to receive the title of DOC in 1966 and was declared one of the best wines in Tuscany in 1980 and become the first Tuscan wine to receive the additional recognition of DOCG.
