Orvieto is perched on a rock cliff situated on the flat summit of a large butte of volcanic tuff. The city rises dramatically above the almost vertical cliffs. , surrounded by defensive walls built of the same stone. Orvieto has a unique history and artistic heritage, it's museums provide a wealth of artefacts from different eras. You can find The Pozzo di San Patrizio (well) , The Duomo and a fascinating underground world. Civita di Bagnoregio also know as “the dying city” due to the constant erosion of the rocks on which it is located. It's a small village located half way between Orvieto and Lake Bolsena of Etruscan and medieval origins. This citadel can only be reached by a suspended footpath from a nearby village rewarding the visitor with dramatic panoramic views. A few kilometres away is the largest volcanic lake in Europe, Lake Bolsena. It is well worth a visit. There are opportunities to savour traditional local delicacies.

Pick up from your residence and go directly to Orvieto. Walking tour of the city to discover the major points of interest. Choose from one of the many trattorias that crowd the historic centre, booking is advised. After lunch we leave for “the dying city” to discover this small quaint village. Then onto our last stop the town of Bolsena which overlooks the lake.you can have a relaxing walk and an “aperitivo” or coffee overlooking the lake.
